ST. JOSEPH — Visiting Niles dropped a pair of SMAC West Division games to St. Joseph Wednesday.

The Bears defeated the Vikings 11-1 and 10-1.

“We came out flat tonight, after a good weekend tournament,” Niles coach Rick McKeel said. “I expected we would come to play and that didn’t happen.  We didn’t have good energy tonight and it showed in all phases of the game.”

The Vikings were limited to just five hits on the day.

Aynslee Myer had a double for Niles in the opening game.
