THREE RIVERS — While as a team Dowagiac did not fare well at the Wolverine Conference Meet at Three Rivers Friday, a pair of Chieftains brought home titles.

Nijah Russell won both the 100- and 200-meters, while Leroy Lewis won the high jump.

Russell was clocked at 12.7 in the 100 and 26.4 in the 200.

Al’Dreonna Henderson finished third in the 300-meter hurdles, while Lexi Martin was seventh in the high jump.

Emily Dodd placed eighth in the 3,200-meters.

Dowagiac was seventh in the 400-meter relay.

Lewis won the high jump with a leap of 6-1 and finished fifth in the 100-meters with a time of 11.7.

He was the only Dowagiac runner to place at the confereence meet.
