Buckingham wins SMAC track title

STEVENSVILLE — Josh Buckingham won the 200-meters at the SMAC Track Meet held at Lakeshore High School Saturday.

Buckinham ran 23.06 to win the event.

He was the lone Niles runner to win a conference championship.

The Vikings placed fourth in the boys portion of the meet and 11th in the girls portion.

Buckingham also placed second in the 100-meters, while Larry Larry was second and third in the 110- and 300-meter hurdles.

Maya Brookins turned in the top girls finish for the Vikings as she was second in the 200-meters.
