Tipton W. Stewart, 66, of Cassopolis, passed away at Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo on Tuesday, May 10, 2016, following a lengthy illness.

He was born in Kentucky on July 28, 1949, to the late Lee and Billie Jean (Bowling) Stewart.

Tipton worked in several local factories until his health would not permit him to. Through the years, Tipton enjoyed Camping, fishing, CB Radio and was a NASCAR and drag racing enthusiast.

He is survived by his wife, Angela Stewart of Cassopolis, a daughter, Carrie Mangold of Florida, several grandchildren and a brother Robin (Shelly) Stewart of Dowagiac.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place and a private service will be held by his family.
