PLAINWELL — Katie Rush scored four goals and had an assist as host Plainwell defeated Dowagiac 6-0 in Wolverine Conference soccer Wednesday night.

Rush had a pair of goals in the first half as the Trojans opened up a 3-0 lead.

“Even though the score line says differently, this game was a huge win for us,” Dowagiac coach Ryan Haines said. “Plainwell has had our number the past five years by way of an 8-0 mercy each year. We only had three subs today so a lot of girls played some heavy minutes. Overall I am happy with the hard work and effort we put into game, definitely a confidence booster.”

Rush added two more goals and an assist in the final 40 minutes.

Grace Younger continued to add to her save total as she made 15 and now has 177 on the season.
