Dowagiac goes winless at own tournament

Dowagiac went 0-2 at its own Frazier Memorial Baseball Tournament at Rotary Park Saturday.

The Chieftains were blanked by Bridgman 9-0 and then dropped a 17-3 decision to St. Joseph.

Dowagiac was limited to just four hits by Bridgman. Brenden Dudley and Austin Jones both doubled.

The Chieftains had nine hits in the loss to the Bears, including two by Nick Foote.

Ellijah Williams took the loss in the first game. Dudley suffered the loss against St. Joseph.

The Chieftains host Three Rivers today at 4 p.m. in a Wolverine Conference doubleheader.
