Niles baseball splits with Mishawaka

Visiting Mishawaka split a pair of non-league baseball games against Niles Saturday.

The Cavemen won the first game 6-3 with a pair of late runs.

The Vikings rallied to take the second game 11-7.

Jacob Hamm took the loss in the opener with Jared Hainey picking up the win in the second game.

Niles outhit Mishawaka 9-5, but committed five errors in the first game.

Austin Curran and Jakob Huffman both doubled for the Vikings.

In the second game, Niles was outhit 10-9 by the Cavemen, but committed one error compared to six by Mishawaka.

Cody Glick had three hits including a double. Bryce Lake doubled and drove in three runs.
