American Legion Post 26 in Niles is taking applications for its annual Memorial Day parade.

This year’s parade is scheduled to take place at 10 a.m. Monday, May 30.

Those wanting to be part of the procession need to submit an application to Post Commander John Sly by Monday, May 23. Applications can be obtained online at americanlegionpost26.org or by calling Sly

at (269) 357-1411.

Line up for the Memorial Day parade will take place at 9 a.m. at the former YMCA property at 315 W. Main St. The parade will travel east on Main Street through downtown Niles and conclude at Silverbrook Cemetery where a Memorial Day service will take place.

The legion will host two additional Memorial Day services on Sunday, May 29. The first is 11 a.m. at Mission Hills Cemetery on Michigan Highway 51 and the second is at the Veteran’s Memorial in Riverfront Park.
