David Ross Phares, 51, of Niles, passed away Saturday, April 30, 2016.

David was born on March 13, 1965, in Florence, Alabama. He graduated from Shoals Community College in 1990 and relocated to Niles shortly after. He was employed by Modular Transportation for many years. For the last few years David was self-employed as an independent driver.

He was an avid model aircraft hobbyist and a longtime member of A.M.A.

David was preceded in death by his Grandmother, Doris Tharp of Sheffield, Alabama and is survived by his mother, Carolyn T. Cameron; sister, Donna (Ron) Alwine of Elkhart; brother, Matthew (Autumn) Cameron of Elkhart; aunt Diane (Kenneth) Abernathy of Huntsville, Alabama; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in David’s name to Brown Funeral Home to help his family with burial expenses so he may be laid to rest next to his family in Alabama.

In keeping with David’s wishes he has been cremated and his family will be remembering him privately.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Niles.
