A cast of 18 will present the play four times beginning tonight in the auditorium at Ross  Beatty. Curtain time is 7 p.m.

Additional performances will be at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, with a special Mother’s Day matinee at 2 p.m. Sunday.

“It’s everybody’s favorite, ‘The Princess Bride,’” director Tammy Stierle said. “My fiancé and I both love the movie and we were trying to find a show that everybody would enjoy. It was a first show, so we wanted to make sure it would be a crowd drawer so we hope a lot of people show up. That is kind of how we settled on it.”

Stierle said she put out feelers in the school to see how many people would be interested in being a part of the show.

“We held auditions and we got our strong cast of 17,” she said.
