Dowagiac second at Point O’Woods Invitational

BENTON HARBOR — Wolverine Conference powerhouse Otsego and Big Rapids took home team honors at the Point O’Woods Invitational Monday.

The biggest field ever, 98 golfers, competed in the annual invitational at Point O’Woods Golf & Country Club.

Otsego shot 308 to win the Point Division. Lakeshore was second with 336, while Niles finished eighth with a 390.

Big Rapids shot 319 to win the Woods Division. Dowagiac was second with a 372.

Otsego’s Shawn Farrell shot 75 to earn medalist honors in the Point Division. Pierce Morrissey of Big Rapids shot 74 to earn medalist honors in the Wood’s Division.

Riley Delinski led Niles with a round of 88.

Justin Yakim shot 85 to pace Dowagiac.
