Vintage Courthouse Committee to share results of presentations

CASSOPOLIS — The Vintage Courthouse Committee will meet at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 18, in the commissioners chambers in the County Annex Building, located at 120 N. Broadway, Cassopolis.

The results of five presentations hosted throughout the county over the past five months will be shared.

After the meeting, a tour of the courthouse will be available. Attendees will have to use the stairs to access the different floors. It is recommended that dust masks be worn because of the presence of mold, although it is not black mold). Masks will be available.

People are asked to respond to Jackie Taylor, county administrative specialist, at Jackiet@cassco.org or call (269) 445-4420 if they plan on attending. If there is a large response the committee may have to host the meeting at another facility.

Attendees will be notified prior to the meeting if there is a change in the location of the meeting.

 

Women’s Ministries group hosting annual luncheon Friday

DOWAGIAC — Women’s Ministries of the First Christian Church will host its annual May luncheon at the church at noon Friday, May 6. The church is located at 121 Oak St. in Dowagiac.

All in the area — women and men alike — are invited. Attendees will be entertained in song by David Schuur and Donna Jean Johnson, with standards as well as some gospel songs.
