What has been one of your greatest

accomplishments as an athlete?

JL: Getting second place for national for travel ball.

What has been one of your biggest

disappointments as an athlete?

JL: Being the last out in the championship game for travel.

What has been a hardship in your life?

JL: My dad leaving me.

Who is a “hero” in your life and why?

JL: My mom, because she will do anything for me to have success in life.

When are you the most nervous while you are competing?

JL: When I’m at my game and not being confident.

Describe an embarrassing athletic

moment.

JL: Sliding back to first base face first and my face got caught in the dirt.

How do you tend to workout/train when by yourself?

JL: Listen to NSYNC and working hard with a teammate.

What other sport would you like to compete in if you were not playing yours?

JL: Football.

Why are sports an important part of a high school experience?

JL: Because it teaches you teamwork and it pushes you further beyond yourself.

If you could be the head coach of a team for a year, what team would you choose?

JL: Chicago Cubs.

If I did not play sports, I would…?

JL: Focus more on school and work out to stay fit.

What is the most

challenging thing for you to do in your sport?

JL: To be consistent

every day because we have a game almost every day.

If you could change one rule about your sport, what would it be?

JL: Take away the dropped third strike.

What is the best compliment you have ever received?

JL: You have a great attitude and are a great enforcer for our team.

What was the scariest thing you have had to do? Are you glad you did it?

JL: The SAT.

What was the last thing you saw someone do that really impressed you?

JL: My teammate Bryce Lake closing out the win against Portage Northern.

What is your favorite hobby? Why?

JL: Chilling with family and playing games with friends.
