The Niles Area Senior Center will be offering fitness walking opportunities for senior citizens at the track at Brandywine Middle/Senior High School, just down the road from the senior center.

Brandywine Supt. John Jarpe said school staff is happy that the senior center will be bringing walkers to use the track.

“Brandywine has always been all about the community. We told everyone when we built the track that it’s not just the school’s track — it’s the whole community’s track,” he said. “If physical education classes are using it or there’s a track meet, obviously we need it then, but at most other times, runners and walkers of all ages can use it. In fact many people are out there often and regularly.”

To learn more about this opportunity, contact the senior center by phone at (269) 683-9380 or online at nileseniorcenter.org.

The senior center is located at 1109 Bell Road, in Niles.
