Dowagiac soccer draws Berrien Springs

Dowagiac will face host Berrien Springs in the Division 3 girls district soccer tournament, which gets under way May 31.

The pairings for the tournament were released Monday.

The Chieftains and Shamrocks will play at 5 p.m. with the winner advancing to take on either South Haven or Fennville June 2.

In the other half of the bracket, Buchanan will travel to Coloma to face the Comets at 7 p.m. May 31 with the winner to host Paw Paw, which drew a first round bye.

Berrien Springs will host the championship match at 11:30 a.m. June 4.

Dowagiac and Berrien Springs met in a non-conference match Monday.

The Chieftains tied Brandywine 1-1 Friday and will face Coloma and Paw Paw in the final two matches of the regular season.

Dowagiac does not play Fennville.

Admission is $5 per person at all sites. No league passes will be accepted.
