Brandywine second at Bobcat Invitational

The Brandywine tennis team finished second at its own Bobcat Invitational at Plym Park Saturday.

LaLumiere of LaPorte, Indiana, won the team championship with 31 points. The Bobcats were second with 25 points and South Haven third with 12. Constantine finished fourth with 11 points.

LaLumiere swept the singles flights and won three of the four doubles flights.

Rachael Szilagyi and Alyssa Bolen were the lone flight championship for Brandywine as they captured the title at No. 1 doubles.

The Bobcats finished second in all four singles flights and three of the four doubles flights.

 

Niles tennis

ST. JOSEPH — Visiting Niles did not win a game in the singles flights as St. Joseph posted an 8-0 win in SMAC West tennis Thursday.

The Vikings did not fare much better in doubles as the Bears dropped just 10 games.
