Daniel “Dan” Cox, 64, of Niles, passed away at his home on Monday, April 18, 2016.

He was born in Niles on Feb. 24, 1952, to the late Jack and Esther (Bruce) Cox and was a life-long resident of the area. Dan is preceded in death by his parents; Jack Cox and Esther Cox-Adler and wife, Katherine Cox.

Dan was a collector of many things, including cars, boats and motorcycles, especially Harley Davidson. Not only did he enjoy riding, he spent many hours building/ refurbishing bikes and sharing his passion and knowledge with his friend Richard Dokey, who he treated as a son. Dan was a member of the Niles Car Club for over three years and was very passionate about his Mustang Cobra and yellow Cougar.

He leaves to cherish his memory to; Richard (Jennifer) Dokey and grandchildren; Tyler, Heaven, Rickey and Michael Dokey, all of Niles and special friends, Doc & Kay.

Memorial contributions may be made in Dan’s memory to his grandchildren’s college fund.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 22, 2016, at Brown Funeral Home in Niles, at Twelve O’clock noon with a time of visitation starting one hour prior. A grave side committal service will follow at Mission Hills Memorial Gardens.
