Dowagiac tennis teams falls to Bridgman

BRIDGMAN — The Dowagiac tennis team was defeated by host Bridgman Friday 6-2.

The Chieftains were swept by the Bee in the singles flights.

Dowagiac was able to split the doubles flights, winning at No. 3 and No. 4.

Lexi Chorba and Ally Hale defeated Sidney Melton and Raegan Yerington at No. 3 doubles 6-4 and 6-1.

Arissa Geegan and Cosie Mueller won by forfeit.

The Chieftains were also involved in a three-set match at No. 1 singles.

Kaley Brogan and Kelly Rafferty fell to Morgan Dobbins and Kennedy Melton 4-6, 6-3 and 10-8.
