The Bobcats defeated Buchanan 7-1 in the BCS match before blanking Eau Claire 8-0 in non-league action.

Brandywine swept the singles flights in both matches with Shaylee Smith, Emily Erwin, Rachel Riffel and Elizabeth Hartz all picked up a pair of wins.

Eddies edge Vikings 1-0

Makayla Shaw scored with 6:15 remaining in Edwardsburg’s 1-0 win over visiting Niles Thursday.

Gabi Fonseca assisted on the game-winning goal for the Eddies.

Neither team scored in the opening 40 minutes of the defensive tussle.

Niles and Edwardsburg combined for a total of seven shots.

Hailee Hebard had three saves for the Eddies and Avyion James four for the Vikings.

“Was an up and down game with a lot of missed opportunities,” Edwardsburg coach Brett Harring said. “Both keepers played well.”

Edwardsburg played without starter Noelle Kraus due to a leg injury.

“We came out strong the first half,” Niles coach Katie Czirr said. “We kept posession of the ball 50 percent of the time and kept it scoreless. During the second half of the game, we increased our control of possession. There were many key plays, allowing access to shooting both inside and just outside the 18 (feet).”

Niles won the JV match 4-1.
