According to police, detectives with the drug task force executed a search warrant at a property located in the 100 block of West North Street in the village of Marcellus, on suspicions that use of methamphetamine was taking place at the residence. Police arrested a 36-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman in connection with the search. A subsequent search of the suspects found that both were in possession of methamphetamine.

Workers with the Michigan Department of Human Services were called into assist due to the fact that four young children were inside the home.

The pair of suspects was taken into custody on charges of possession of methamphetamine and maintaining a drug house. Their names are currently being withheld pending their arraignment in Cass County Court.
