Brandywine sweeps Cassopolis

Visiting Brandywine improved to 6-1 on the year with a sweep of Cassopolis in BCS Athletic Conference baseball Thursday.

Austin Balos and Chandler Plew combined on a two-hitter in the opening game as the Bobcats defeated the Rangers 3-0.

Brandywine defeated Cassopolis 6-0 in the nightcap, which lasted just five innings due to darkness.

The Bobcats managed just four hits off of the Rangers in the opening game. Jeshua Wiese doubled for Brandywine.

Nick Baker took the loss for the Rangers.

In the nightcap, Zach Grishaber and Plew combined on a two-hitter. Plew earned a save in both games.

Hunter Janowiak was 3-of-3 three and Grishaber was 2-for-3. Cole Searles added a double for the Bobcats.

Nick Baker took the loss for the Rangers, who are now 2-2 on the year.
