Gerald Donald Wallace, 68, of Niles passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2016, at Lakeland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph of a brief illness.

He was born on Sept. 26, 1947, in South Bend, Indiana to Ronella and George H. Wallace Sr. On March 29, 1975, he married Linda (Coultas) Wallace in Niles. Gerald was a U.S. Army Veteran, and a retired Police Officer from Berrien County Sheriff’s Department.

Gerald is survived by his wife of 41 years, Linda; sisters, Arthola Loy of Granger, Indiana, Patricia Miller of Marietta, Georgia; brothers Robert T. Wallace of Mishawaka, Indiana, and Richard E. Wallace of Winter Haven, Florida.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ronella and George; sisters, Betty Hershberger, Kathryn Tague; and brother, George H. Wallace, Jr.
