In conjunction with Earth Day, the Village of Cassopolis is holding its annual “community clean up” April 19-21.

The event, which started three years ago according to Department of Public Works Superintendent Ben Anderson, is a change for village residents to clean up their yard and place the items by the curb for pick up by the DPW.

“This is a free service designed to help promote pride in our community and help exercise Earth friendly practices,” Anderson said.

The Cassopolis DPW will not haul away any hazardous waste items including, but not linited to:

• Chemicals

• Oils

• Gas storage tanks (such as propane tanks)
