Francis “Frank” S. Walczewski, 83, of Niles passed away on Sunday, March 27, 2016, at his home.

He was born on Dec. 5, 1932, in South Bend, Indiana to Natala and Stanley Walczewski. He was a U.S. Marine from 1952 to 1955. On April 12, 1958, he married Mary Jane Enfield at a ceremony in South Bend, Indiana. Frank was a diehard Notre Dame fan.

Frank is survived by his daughters, Ann Tighe of San Diego, California, Susan (Larry) Miller of Niles, Michigan, Carol Carter of Granger, Indiana; grandchildren, Thomas, Alane, Taylor, Patrick, Nate, Hannah; and three great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jane; parents, Natala and Stanley; brothers, Al Walczewski, Walt Walczewski, Stanley Wlaczewski, Casey Walczewski; sisters, Josephine Campbell, Theresa Hostetler, and Henrietta Kalka.

Funeral services will be at noon Saturday, April 2, 2016 at Hoven Funeral Home, Buchanan. Visitation will be two hour prior to the service from 10 a.m. to noon Military Honors being provided by Buchanan American Legion Post 51 and U.S. Marine Corps Team.
