While a sacred day for any Christian, Easter Sunday was monumental day in the lives of the parishioners of Dowagiac Michiana Christ, as they once again reunited for their first worship service inside the confines of their new chapel.

More than 100 members of the church marched together from their old building to the new one located just yards away to open service that morning.

The new chapel, which had been under construction since last summer, will have enough space to allow members to have one single combined service — due to the space constraints of the old building, the church had hosted multiple services, fracturing its members.
