Shirley M. (Foyle) Raymond, 92, of Dowagiac, passed away, Saturday, March 12, 2016. at Hanson Hospice in Stevensville, Michigan.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held noon Monday, March 28, 2016, at Clark Chapel, 405 Center St., Dowagiac. Friends may visit with the family from 11 a.m. until noon Monday at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the family c/o Peggyjoe Whitley. Shirley was born Feb. 3, 1924, in Ferndale, Michigan to James E & Viola E. (Bernier) Foyle. She was a nanny during her younger years it was not just a job for her she truly loved the children she took care of. Shirley was devoted to her family, her grandchildren were very special to her.

Shirley is survived by her daughter, Margaret “Peggy” (Terry) Wilds of Edwardsburg; four grandchildren, Peggyjoe Whitley of Dowagiac, Joseph A. Whitley of Niles, James R. Johnson Jr. of Benton Harbor and Crystal L. Johnson of Niles; 13 great grandchildren, Justin, Brett, Kylie, Bryce, Caleb, Nikkolette, Lisa, Brock, Seth, Matthew, Abby, Dalton and Myndora; three nephews, Chuck, Rick and Steve. She was preceded in death by her siblings; James, Bernice, Chuck Halifax and Mike.
