Susie “Gego” A. Morseau, 58, of Dowagiac, Michigan, passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2016, at her home.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 20, 2016, at Clark Chapel & Cremation Services, 405 Center St., Dowagiac. Friends may visit with the family from noon until 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the family c/o her daughter Rhonda Purcell. Susie was born Feb. 7, 1958, in Watervliet, Michigan to George & Theresa (Alexis) Morseau. Susie worked for several years at the Four Winds Casino in New Buffalo. She grew very attached to the people she met along life’s journey. Susie enjoyed playing cards with her brothers and sisters. She loved her two daughters and her grandchildren, she was very involved in everything they did. Susie was very proud of her Native American heritage, especially being a member of the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians.

Susie is survived by two daughters, Cheryl Morseau of Hartford and Rhonda (Jason Wesaw) Purcell of Dowagiac; seven grandchildren, Adrianna Morseau, Brianna Morseau, Kadyn Wesaw, Devin Helmke, Julianna Morseau, Dayten Morseau and Sophia Wesaw; two brothers, John Morseau of Dowagiac, Joseph Morseau of Mattawan; three sisters, Georgiana Morseau of Coloma, Juanita (Willard) Wall of Dowagiac and Cleora Morseau of Baraga, Michigan and numerous nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Emma Motay, Veronica Morseau, Gloria Morseau and a brother, Kipling Morseau.
