BENTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Lake Michigan College is hosting its 12th annual Steven C. Silcox Spring Training 5K/10K Run and 5K Walk on Saturday, April 16, at its Napier Avenue Campus. The course includes a combination of scenic, wooded, on- road and off-road terrain.

The race is open to the public. Participants can participate individually or in teams. All participants in the race will receive a tee-shirt and the top finisher in each age group will receive a medal. Trophies will be awarded to the winning team and a trophy and gift certificate to a local restaurant will be awarded to the overall male and female winners.

Registration begins at 7:45 a.m. at the flag pole plaza in front of the Napier Campus Administration Building at 2755 E. Napier Avenue, Benton Harbor, Michigan. The race begins at 9 a.m. followed by refreshments and an awards ceremony.

The fee for all participants is $20 if paid on or before April 4, and $25 after April 4. Proceeds benefit the Lake Michigan College Flag Football Club.
