Judy Diane Loupee, 64,  of Niles, Michigan died at 11:45 p.m. on Sunday, March 13, 2016, at her home following a brief illness.

She was born on Jan. 14, 1952 in Waynesboro, Tennessee, to Robert Elsworth and Betty Rose (Tomlin) Foster. She graduated in 1969 from Mishawaka (Indiana) High School, and has lived in Niles since 1971. She has served as a personal assistant to several local senior women.

Judy attended church at several area fundamental congregations. She enjoyed playing cards, was proficient at several games, and was a competitive — winning — poker player. She spent several winters in Leesburg, Florida, and always enjoyed attending the activities of her grandchildren.

On July 12, 1975, at the Grace United Methodist Church in Niles she married Michael B. Loupee with whom she celebrated last year the fortieth anniversary of their wedding.

Surviving family includes her husband, Mike Loupee and daughter, Karla (Dan) Dennis; grandchildren Jessica Dennis and Nathan Dennis; and Judy’s sisters Janice (Tom) Enrick of Mishawaka, Kathy Paholski, Connie (George) Tomkiewicz of Mishawaka, and brother Jackie Scott; and several nieces and nephews.

A time to share memories and honor the life of Judy Loupee will be at 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 19, 2016, at the Halbritter Funeral Home in Niles. Interment will be private at Mission Hills.
