Meth lab found in Howard Township
An arrest has been made after police found a meth lab at a residence on Detroit Road in Howard Township Wednesday.
The suspect is a 30-year-old female whose name is being withheld until she can be arraigned in Cass County Court.
While conducting a search warrant at a residence in the 3100 block of Detroit Road, detectives with the Cass County Drug Enforcement Team located several items used to manufacture methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
Outside the residence, detectives located three old one-pot methamphetamine labs and other ingredients that can be used to manufacture methamphetamine.
The Michigan Department of Human Services was called to the scene regarding a child that was present in the home.
The suspect was arrested on charges of manufacturing methamphetamine, manufacturing hazardous waste, conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine and maintaining a drug house.
The investigation is still ongoing at this time.
