Feb. 8, 1965 — March 7, 2016

Donald “Don” W. Heidenreich, 51, of St. Anne, died Monday, March 7, 2016, at his home.

He was born Feb. 8, 1965, in Oak Lawn, the son of Donald P. & Jacqueline Barry Heidenreich.

Don married Valerie A. Cottone March 3, 1990 in Chicago.

Don had been a store manager for Venture and Toys-R-Us. He was a manager at C.I.T. He also worked part time for the Bourbonnais Park District. He liked to make people laugh. Don was a baseball coach and was involved with the Aroma Park Little League and the Kankakee Elk’s Pony League. He as a Chicago Cubs fan and enjoyed the outdoors including gardening.

Surviving are his wife, Valerie Heidenreich of St. Anne; one son, Lucas Heidenreich of Oklahoma; one daughter, Caitlyn Heidenreich & Nick Johnson of Glen Carbon; five siblings, Michael & Pam Heidenreich of Dowagiac, Michigan, Jim Heidenreich of Dowagiac, Michigan; John & Linda Heidenreich of Lawton, Michigan, Donna & Tom Tyler of Hampshire, Mary & John Reale of Coconut Creek, Florida; one sister-in-law, Pam Heidenreich of Dowagiac, Michigan; and his extended family, Darren & Carrie Stauffenberg and their children, Jacob, Jenna, & Shelby, Ron & Staci Calvert and their children, Tyler and Katie, Ron & Angie Giasson, and Nick & Melissa LaLuna.

Don is preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be held 4 to 8 p.m. p.m. Friday, March 11, 2016, at Clancy-Gernon-Hertz Funeral Home in Kankakee, where funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 12, 2016. Rev.
