Joyce Nugent a residence of Yuma, Arizona, and Dowagiac, Michigan, passed away on Feb. 18, 2016, at the age of 86 in Yuma, Arizona.

She was born in Menasha, Wisconsin and grew up in Dowagiac, Michigan. Joyce married Tom Nugent, the love of her life.
Joyce was born to the late Sidney Amundson and Martha Zaretzke Amundson, the youngest of three. Her brother Vernon “Jimmy” Amundson (deceased), and sister Gladys Weaver. Joyce son Sidney Sears (deceased).
Those who knew Joyce will remember her quick-witted, great sense of humor, a very independent woman who lived life on her terms. You knew she was sick when she didn’t go to bingo. I am sure she already has her seat at the bingo hall in heaven.

She is our family version of “I Love You Lucy,” always expect the unexpected, and laugh until you cry! We will always love you Auntie Joyce, and wish all families could have an Aunt Joyce like you.
In honoring Joyce’s wishes, there will be no services. Please celebrate her life with fond memories, a kind word and a toast to a life well lived and well loved. She will be missed by all!
