During an investigation, Niles Police allege Perkins sold heroin to an undercover detective on four separate occasions, totaling one ounce, with an estimated street value of over $4,000.

Niles police arrested Perkins Friday after leaving a location in the 500 block of Superior St., where he allegedly sold $2,000 worth of heroin to the undercover detective.

Perkins was lodged at the Berrien County Jail and until he was arraigned. His bond was set at $25,000 cash or surety.

Police said the arrest came as part of an effort to combat the use and sales of heroin.

Niles police were assisted by the Berrien County Sheriff’s Department’s narcotics unit.
