Four Flags Chamber seeks nominations for annual awards dinner

The Four Flags Area Chamber of Commerce seeks to recognize businesses and individuals that have made a significant impact in the Four Flags community for the past year.

These awards will be based upon contributions to the community, business performance, innovative practices, growth of programs and the organization, volunteer contributions to the Four Flags Area Chamber of Commerce, civic involvement and leadership.

The chamber is inviting its members to nominate other businesses or to self nominate.

“We want to find and celebrate the stars in Niles,” said said Tyanna Weller, chamber president.

Nomination forms can be filled out online by following the link on the chamber’s website at nilesmi.com on the chamber’s Facebook page. The nomination deadline is March 25.

The winners of each award will be presented at the chamber’s annual meeting and awards dinner at 5:30 p.m. April 19, at the Morris Estate Supper Club in Niles.

Tickets are $40 per person or $300 for a table of eight. The meal is beef tips with another option of chicken or vegetarian.

Award nomination categories this year are:

• Business of the year

• Manufacturer of the year

• Service club of the year

• Volunteer of the year (individual)

• Niles young leader award (individual)

• Niles leader award

• Lifetime achievement award

Business of the Year: United Federal Credit Union

Industry of the Year: Niles Steel Tank

New Member of the Year: The Prized Pig

Service Organization of the Year: Niles District Library

Ambassador of the Year: Scott Williams of Inner Journey Healing Arts

Volunteer of the Year: Jane Brandstatter

Outstanding leadership Award: Mike Caldwell, Leader Publications

Lifetime Achievement Award: Wannis Parris, Delta Machining

Lifetime Achievement Award: Mickey Hutchison, Four Flags Plaza
