A woman was arrested after the Cass County Drug Enforcement Team executed another search warrant within Dowagiac city limits Tuesday, according to a release from the task force.

According to police, detectives made the arrest while serving a warrant at a residence in the 100 block of Andrew Street, where law enforcement suspected the selling and use of illegal drugs was taking place. The search uncovered crack cocaine, crack cocaine paraphernalia and evidence of crack cocaine sales.

A 57-year-old female was arrested on charges of possession of cocaine, possession with intent to deliver cocaine, and maintaining a drug house. The suspect’s name is being with held pending arraignment on the charges.

The bust is the latest to take place within city limits over the last few months. In January, the Cass County Drug Enforcement Team executed three warrants in the city, arresting five people for methamphetamine related activity.
