Edwardsburg holds off Vicksburg 46-44

Host Edwardsburg held off a second-half charge by visiting Vicksburg to pull out a 46-44 Wolverine Conference South Division victory in girls basketball Friday night.

The Eddies, who led 28-19 at halftime, were outscored 14-7 in the third quarter as the Bulldogs cut the Edwardsburg lead to 35-33 heading into the final quarter.

Edwardsburg, led by Brayden Curtis’ six points, were able to hold on in the final eight minutes to improve to 11-6 overall and 5-3 in the South Division.

Curtis finished with nine points.

Edwardsburg was led by Savannah Dixon’s game-high 17 points. Kaitlyn Zarycki finished with 11 points.

Vicksburg did not have a player finish in double digits, Grace Welch scored nine points for the Bulldogs.
