Dowagiac falls to 1-17 with loss at Three Rivers

THREE RIVERS — Another slow start doomed the Dowagiac girls basketball team in its 48-21 Wolverine Conference South Division loss to Three Rivers Friday night.
The Wildcats (9-9, 4-4 Wolverine South) jumped out to a 23-9 first half lead an never looked back.
Three Rivers scored 25 seconds half points, while holding the Chieftains (1-17, 0-8 Wolverine South) to 12 points.
Ariane Fowlkes led Three Rivers with a game-high 14 points. Julia Majden added 10 points.
Taylor Hulett scored 14 of Dowagiac’s 21 points. Tamia Wilson finished with four.
