Brandywine rolls to seventh straight undefeated league championship

PARCHMENT — Visiting Brandywine outscored Parchment 33-16 in the second half to defeat the Panthers 56-38 in BCS Athletic Conference Red Division girls basketball action Friday night.

The win improved Brandywine to 10-0 in the Red Division, its seventh straight season undefeated conference campaign. The Bobcats have now won 70 straight league games between the Lakeland Conference and the BCS.

Parchment (12-6) kept it interesting through the first two quarters, trailing by a single digit, 8-7 after one and 23-22 at halftime.

The Bobcats came out in the second half and scored 16 points in the third quarter and 17 points in the final eight minutes, while holding the Panthers to six and 10 points to pull away to the win.

Makenna Hartline led Brandywine and all scorers with 22 points, while Alyssa Bolen added 12 and Michaela Hartline nine.

Kaley Knapp scored 12 points for Parchment and Keeley Hinton 10.
