Bobcats clinch BCS Red Division title

The Brandywine girls basketball team clinched the outright BCS Athletic Conference Red Division championship with a 57-38 win over visiting Berrien Springs Thursday night.

The Bobcats outscored the Shamrocks 16-3 in the opening quarter and never looked back in finishing division play with a 9-0 mark. Brandywine is now 14-2 overall.

Michaela Hartline led the Bobcats with 14 points, while sister Makenna Hartline finished with 13 points.

Amanda Forraht had nine points to pace Berrien Springs.

Brandywine will now host undefeated Lakeshore, an honorable mention selection in the latest Class B state rankings, at 7:30 p.m. Saturday.
