William “Bill” Elmer Moore, 71, formerly of Niles, passed away peacefully while being comforted by his cherished wife Brigett and family at his home in Nashville, Tennessee, on the morning of Nov. 28, 2015.
Bill was born in Watervliet, Michigan on March 31, 1944, to George Miron Moore and Audie Irene Floyd Moore.
He attended high school in Coloma, Michigan, and proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed his work at Modineer Company. He was cherished by all who bowled with him on the Shula’s leagues from 1975 until 2000
He is preceded in death by his father George and his mother Audie and sister Norma Jean Fairbanks.
Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife Brigett Spender Moore; children Robin Taylor of Greenville, Texas; Susan Mervine of Cassopolis; Francis Cordell of Niles; Gail Benitez of Port Richie, Florida; William Dahms of Nashville, Tennessee; Scott Dahms of Nashvill; Sarah Dahms of Nashville; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grand children; sisters Francis Mitchell of Baroda, Michigan; Virginia Musselwhite of Sanford, North Carolina; Donna Allen of North East, Maryland; brother Michael Moore of Brooksville, Florida; his faithful service dog Bella and his former wife Mary Devine Heimburger.
The memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 13, at the Bethel Apostolic Tabernacle, 945 Chippewa St., Buchanan.
