Brandywine senior Austin Balos will continue his academic and athletic career at Trine University in Angola, Indiana.

Balos recently signed a national letter of intent to play tennis for the Thunder.

“I looked at all the Division 3 schools that have tennis and they really did not interest me,” Balos said. “Trine was a place that was interested in me and I liked it, so I decided to go there.”

Trine also had a sports management course, which is what Balos wants to major in.

Bobcats’ coach David Sidenbender was pleased with his decision.

“He is the first player I have had go on and play college tennis,” he said. “It says a lot about the program that colleges are looking at our players.”
