Hornets string Bobcats 46-43

MENDON — Host Mendon led at every quarter break as the Hornets defeated Brandywine 46-43 in a BCS Athletic Conference non-divisional boys basketball game Monday night.

Mendon (9-6) led 10-6 after one and 25-18 at halftime.

The Hornets took a 37-31 lead into the final quarter and then held off the Bobcats in the final eight minutes.

Hunter Slaughter scored 14 points to lead Brandywine, which also got 10 points from Austin Knapp.

Trey Cook led the Hornets with 14 points. Dillon Plummer added 11.
