Live @ The Mendel Center auditions set for next week

BENTON TOWNSHIP — Local performers will get a chance at stardom in the casual, cabaret atmosphere of LIVE @ The Mendel Center.

Performing arts students and community members are invited to audition for an evening featuring a variety of talents. Those from performing backgrounds that include music, comedy, drama, spoken word, storytelling, dance, and other talents are welcome to audition.

Auditions will be Tuesday, Feb. 16 at 6 p.m. in room MC103 inside The Mendel Center, which is located on the Napier Avenue campus of Lake Michigan College.  Those who plan to audition must be high school age or older and should be prepared to perform a segment of their act.

LIVE @ The Mendel Center is a production of the Fine & Performing Arts Department of Lake Michigan College, and will be directed by Dan Maxon, LMC alumnus and Midwestern musician. Anyone with questions about the auditions may contact Maxon at DanRMaxon@gmail.com.

The performance will be at 7 p.m.  Friday, March 18 in the south lobby of The Mendel Center. General admission tickets are $20 per person and include hors d’oeuvres. A cash bar will be available.
