The ice carvings on display throughout Front Street weren’t the only cold things featured during Saturday’s Ice Time Festival.

Caruso’s Candy & Soda Shop hosted its annual ice cream eating contest in conjunction with the winter festival that afternoon. Children and adults alike were invited to compete, with entrants racing to be the first to finish a banana sundae without using their hands.

Winners were given a $5 gift certificate to the downtown candy store, while everyone who entered were given a pin that read “I pigged out at Caruso’s.”

Winners were:

8 years old and younger: Daniel Hardman

9 through 14 years old: Colby Ogrin

14 and older: Morgan Petriko
