Cassopolis’ Green, West win BCS wrestling titles

Cassopolis had a pair of individual champions at the BCS Athletic Conference Wrestling Invitational hosted by Brandywine Saturday.

White Pigeon upset Bronson 169.5-158.5 to claim the tournament championship. The Vikings entered the tournament undefeated in the dual meet season, while the Chiefs were second.

The two will share the BCS conference crown.

A.J. Green defeated decisioned Berrien Springs’ Timmy Eising 5-2 to claim the 189-pound championship.

Reese West took home the 285-pound championship with a 5-4 win over Noah Fayling of Parchment.

The Rangers finished fourth with 125.5 points while host Brandywine was sixth with 89 points and Buchanan seventh with 82 points.
