Lois Jane Rowlison, 66, of Niles, Michigan passed away at 6:09 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2016, in her home. Lois was born on June 26, 1949, in Bay City, Michigan to John and Jessie (McDermand) Bumgarner.

She had been employed as a nurse with Wedgewood Pines Assisted Living in South Bend.
On March 12, 1977, she married John Rowlison, who survives. Also surviving are three daughters; Jessie (James) Heron and Mary (Danny) Balos both of Niles, Michigan and Becky Rowlison of Grand Junction, Michigan; one son, Tim (Janice) Rowlison of Three Oaks, Michigan; thirteen grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; her mother, Jessie Bumgarner of Niles, Michigan; one sister, Faye Reed of West Branch, Michigan; and two brothers, John (Lori) Bumgarner of San Antonio, Texas and Bob Lott of Bay City, Michigan. Lois was preceded in death by her father, John Bumgarner; and one sister, Deanna Bumgarner.
Funeral Services will take place at 11 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 6, 2016, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery. A visitation will take place from 4 until 8 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
Lois was a teacher with the children at First Church of God. She was a volunteer at the Salvation Army and Meals on Wheels. Lois was a Chaplain with the American Legion Post #26 Ladies Auxiliary.
