The sisters of Xi Delta Mu along with Kappa Beta will be holding their annual soup luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 17, at the First United Methodist Church on N. Lowe Street. A donation of $5 provides a great lunch of chicken noodle, cheesy potato or beef barley soup, cut veggies, and homemade dessert. Carry out orders are also available. All proceeds will benefit E. Root Fitch Camp.

Fitch Camp is made possible and accessible to the children of Dowagiac by the support of many volunteers, contributing donors and organizations across the community, and former campers from across the country. Fitch Camp is a nonprofit agency dedicated to providing quality supervision, leadership and fun activities to the children of Dowagiac.

The camp at Cable Lake has been a tradition for thousands of Dowagiac youth since 1941. Since then, the camp has been open to Dowagiac elementary and middle school students, with attendance, transportation and meals costing only $1 a day. The camp provided nature, sports, art, and game activities.

Have a great lunch, visit with neighbors, and help Xi Delta Mu celebrate Fitch Camp’s 75th anniversary by continuing the legacy of Fitch Camps dedication to building and shaping our area youth.
