Jennifer Jenene “Ginger” Lester-Brown, age 63, of Cassopolis, concluded her earthly journey Sunday evening, Jan. 31, 2016, in the comfort of her home.

She was born in August 1952 in South Bend, Indiana to John and Patsy (Harbaugh) Lester, the middle of three children. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother John Dale Lester.

Jen was passionate about her sons, granddaughters, and family. She enjoyed helping others, sewing and crafting. Jen’s faith was important to her, and was evident, daily, to those around her. She had a wicked sense of humor and joyfully worked at being the source of fun and games for her family. These few brief lines are not enough to convey all that Jen was and did; the breadth and strength of her personality and soul.

Jennifer will be greatly missed by family and friends. She is survived by her two sons, Joshua (Elizabeth) Brown of Allen Park, Michigan, Jacob R. F. Brown of Cassopolis; two granddaughters, Hannah Brown and Audrey Brown; one brother, James (Chris Gerrard) Lester of Elkhart, Indiana; former husband, Eric Brown of South Bend, Indiana; and several beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Family and friends will gather Friday, Feb. 5, 2016, from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. in United Methodist Church of Cassopolis, 209 South Rowland Street, Cassopolis, with the Reverend Jeff Reese officiating.

The family prefers contributions be made in Jennifer’s memory to a trust fund to be established for the benefit of her son, Jake, payable to his brother, Joshua Brown, in care of Wagner Family Funerals, 202 North Broadway St., Cassopolis, Michigan 49031.
