Brandywine rolls to 11th win of the season

THREE OAKS — The Brandywine boys basketball team used a big second half to rebound from its overtime loss to New Buffalo Monday night.

The visiting Bobcats outscored River Valley 50-26 in the second half to pick up an easy 78-46 victory over the Mustangs.

River Valley led 9-6 after one, but trailed Brandywine (11-2) 28-20 at halftime.

The Bobcats took a 54-28 lead into the final quarter.

Vinny Peel scored a game-high 24 points to lead Brandywine, which also got 12 points from Marquise Davis and 10 points from Austin Knapp.

Andrew Bellaire had 17 points to lead River Valley, which also got 13 points from Devin Alexander and 11 points from Greg Palen.
