Jerry L. Pressnall, 74, of Niles, Michigan, died on Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2016 at Buchanan Meadows in Buchanan, Michigan. Jerry was born on Nov. 24, 1941, in Niles, Michigan to Douglas & Edith (Farmer) Pressnall of Niles, who preceded him in death.

Jerry graduated from Buchanan High School in 1960. In 1964 he graduated from Ball State Teachers College with his BS Degree in Education. In 1967 he graduated from Ball State University with his MAE Degree. He taught in the South Bend Community Schools, including Studebaker Elementary School and Marquette Elementary School. He retired from the South Bend Community Schools in 1998.

Some of Jerry’s interests included music, reading, cooking, and playing Bridge with his friends. He loved animals. He had four Bouvier dogs. He enjoyed showing his dogs in competitions and received many ribbons.

Jerry is survived by several cousins with whom he enjoyed spending time, as well as many friends.

There will be no visitation and cremation has taken place, per Jerry’s wishes.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice at Home at 4025 Health Park Lane, St. Joseph, Michigan, 49085.

Arrangements were by Hoven Funeral Home, Buchanan, Michigan.
